Our 4th of July was pretty low key this year, especially with it falling on Sunday. We had a great weekend though, full of friends, good food, and fireworks!
On Sat. the 3rd we woke up nice and early and headed over to the church for our annual ward 4th of July Breakfast. They always do an awesome job. We had yummy pancakes, eggs and sausage. Then the kids had a bike rodeo with decorated bikes, face painting, and a few games. We had such a great time and the weather turned out to be really nice that day. Then, since the weather was nice we got the boat out and went over to Lake Sawyer for a few hours of fun. We had such a great time and it was a great way to officially break in the boat for the summer. :) We finished up on the lake and went over to the Moulton's for a BBQ with great food and friends. And to top off the day we went over and spent the evening with more friends at the Surprenant's, all in honor of Monique and her B-day!
For the 4th we went to church and then in the late evening we walked into Lake Wilderness Park and laid on a blanket to watch the fire works show that our little city of Maple Valley puts on. It was such a wonderful night and we all enjoyed the fireworks show this year. Non of our little ones cried-they all loved it! It was a wonderful way to celebrate our countries freedom and yet be together as a family on the sabbath. We are so blessed!
