Spring break and broken toe BLUES!

It takes quite a lot to get me down but this week has succeeded in doing just that! Last week we traveled to Colorado to visit my parents. While the drive is REALLY long we had such a wonderful time and didn't want to come home. The kids love their grandma and grandpa and Auntie Brandie! We did a lot of fun things despite the weather being crummy. I realized that I didn't pull out my camera much while we were there so I don't have very many pictures to show for the trip but here's a few. Then upon returning home I broke my toe in a soccer game! I've been hobbling around all week, not able to exercise or even wear normal shoes. Anyone who knows me knows that I NEED to exercise for lots of reasons but mainly my sanity!! And now that we are home the weather is YUCKY, I MISS MY MOM AND DAD, MY TOE HURTS, LIFE FEELS STALE, AND I'M JUST GRUMPY ALL AROUND!

I'm ready for some sun and summer fun, anyone else??

Easter 2008

Well it's a little late but I'm finally posting some pictures from Easter this year. We had a wonderful Easter together. The Easter Bunny came on Sat. and we opened baskets, decorated and hunted for eggs, and planted spring flowers. Then on Sunday we read about the Easter story and had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Sligh, Grt. Grandma and Grandpa O'Dore, Uncle Derek and Stephanie. It's always great to be with family. We snapped a few pictures of our family in our new Easter outfits. Trying to get 5 people to smile and look good all at once is a little challenging but I think we did pretty good. Thanks to a friend for taking this picture!

The kids had fun with there baskets. Shane wanted to make sure no one was missing anything so he went through every piece of grass himself!!!



Shane decided he better clean up his mess so he walked around and picked up the Easter grass with his feet! :) What a big helper.

Maple Valley in March????

Yup, that's right. Yesterday we had a freak snow storm and it's almost April! Can't believe how much snow we got in just a few hours. The kids love it and of course it's beautiful to see. Kind of a fun surprise while we head into spring. We are definitely looking forward to some summer sun though. :) Before we left to take Abigail down to school I decided to snap a few pictures of the crazy weather!

baby crush

Just a little something I wanted to share with friends and family. I've started my own little business. It's called "baby crush". I make baby blankets, quilts and more. It's still in the beginning stages but it's been a lot of fun so far. I am participating in a local Boutique with a handful of other sellers. Mid-winter break activities

Despite our kids being sick while on break we were still able to do a lot of fun things with friends!



We went sledding again, but this time to Cle Elum. Lots of snow there too and we had so much fun! I think this will become an annual sleding trip for our family, hopefully for everyone else too! Like the camping chairs...we know how to sled in style and comfort. :)


















Shane discovered his shadow while on break! It was such amazing weather and the sun shone every day. While walking through the kitchen he realized that when he walked through the light another little boy followed. He walked back and forth through the light at least 10 times. Too cute!!









Wyatt decided to help himself to some chocolate milk one day while I was putting Shane down for a nap. When I came down to the kitchen he was already working on cleaning up the mess! This picture doesn't really show it but I'm telling you that kid had chocolate syrup EVERYWHERE! See the drip on his forehead...he even had it on the back of his head. He loves his chocolate milk!!






Becky and I took the kids to the Seattle Center on Monday of mid-winter break. We had so much fun! There's so much to see and do. The kids didn't want to leave. After lunch they all had a special treat and got their faces painted. The girls had butterflys and Wyatt had a dragon. How fitting!

Fun in Leavenworth

We had a blast in Leavenworth a few weeks ago. Life is just a bit crazy right now so it's taken me a while to get this posted. :) I threw up a whole lot of photos for you all to see. They pretty much explain themselves. There was plenty of snow for sledding, lots of friends to play with, and lots of laughs! But what's up with Abigail's peace signs?... she's too funny!!
